Summer festival season gets a modern twist at Tokyo Midtown Yaesu, where the Yaesu Night Markets will bring 10 days of music, food, drinks, games, and a lively atmosphere to the area in front of Tokyo Station.
Running from August 28 to September 6, 2026, the event offers a chance to experience the spirit of a Japanese matsuri in a contemporary urban setting. Traditional touches, including lanterns, street stalls, and festival games, will be reimagined alongside live entertainment and evening dining.
Music is a major part of the festival, with free live performances and DJ sets spanning genres including city pop, disco, house, and hip hop. The lineup includes:

Food and drinks take center stage at Noryo Sakaba, where food trucks will serve a selection of street food and snacks alongside alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. The open-air setting makes it a particularly appealing spot for an evening break after sightseeing.
There's also plenty to explore at Yaesu Yomise, an interactive festival area running on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays during the event period. It features creator goods and activities, including caricature portraits by megumi yamazaki, brooch and accessory making by Mein Schatz, and a quirky photo booth. The activities are designed to appeal to both adults and children alike, so it offers fun for the whole family.
Yaesu Night Markets runs from 5pm to 9pm, with the final day ending at 8pm. Admission is free, and visitors can come and go as they please, making it an easy addition to an evening around Tokyo Station.
