A special exhibition at the Toyama Prefectural Museum of Art will explore works on loan from Hakone's Pola Museum of Art. The pieces on display during the event include works from impressionists like Monet and Renoir, post-impressionists such as Cezanne and Van Gogh, and other 20th Century artists including Matisse and Picasso.
Adult admission to the event is priced at 1400 yen, and no advance reservations are required.
Getting there
The Toyama Prefectural Museum of Art is located around 15 minutes on foot from the JR Toyama Station, which is served by numerous lines including the Hokuriku Shinkansen and the Takayama Main Line. If you'd prefer not to walk, buses are available - head to bus platform 7 and take the Chitetsu Bus until you reach the stop for Toyama-ken Bijutsukan-mae.
Alternatively, for those who opt to drive, the venue is around 15 minutes from the Toyama IC on the Hokuriku Expressway. On-site parking is available.
