Kotozaki Hachimangu Shrine is a major shrine located in Ube City. As of 2024, it has been selected as an important shrine, belonging to one of the 346 shrines designated by the Jinja Honcho, the Association of Shinto Shrines in Japan. The shrine is in a serene spot with natural surroundings.

This guardian shrine is dedicated to Hachiman, a deity worshiped in samurai battles. Hachiman is particularly associated with marriage, childbirth, and traffic safety. Visitors seeking blessings for safe childbirth, successful marriages, and so on are encouraged to pray here.

The shrine also offers more than 900 kinds of amulets for plenty of occasions. Visitors are encouraged to purchase these amulets in person to ensure they receive the full benefit that comes from visiting the shrine and praying to the deities. These amulets can be attached to a bag, worn as a pendant, or kept close at home for protection, blessings, and good fortune.
