On the day of Yamanaka Firework Festival, we found a parking space with good views of Mount Fuji and the lake near a small park beside Marimo Road. We took a walk into the back streets, and found pretty rural scenery which gave way to densely forested hills hiding holiday homes and guesthouses. I enjoyed exploring almost as much as the sunset and the fireworks display that came later.
