Fuji Sunset at Lake Yamanaka

Unforgettable show starring Mount Fuji and the sunset

<p>Mount Fuji reflected on the surface of the lake</p>

<p>As evening fell Mount Fuji slowly appeared from the haze</p>

<p>A small puff of cloud hovered above Fuji's peak</p>

<p>Barges carrying fireworks were owed out into the lake for the festival</p>

<p>People waiting for the firework festival were enchanted by the view</p>

<p>The soft, delicate colors of the sky were reflected by the lake</p>

<p>The sunset made a beautiful prelude to the fireworks</p>

<p>Mount Fuji became darker and clearer as the sunset progressed</p>

<p>Small torches were lit along the edge of the Lake  </p>

<p>As darkness fell, the lights of climber's huts began to glow on the upper slops of Mount Fuji</p>

On summer days Mount Fuji is often completely hidden in the haze, but you can sometimes see her in the early mornings and in the evenings. This was the case on August 1st, the day of the firework festival at Lake Yamanaka. The beautiful mountain enchanted watchers by slowly appearing as the sun cast delicate colors over the lake. After the sun set, small torches were lit all along the lakeside, and the lights of climber's huts could be seen glowing on the the mountain's upper slopes.
