Sake Tasting Event in Kawaguchiko

Celebrating opening the first barrels of the New Year

At Kawaguchiko, the first opening of the year's sake barrels results in a tasting event like a village festival. For 500 yen, you can test the new vintage of Ide Jozo Brewery, discover the mysteries of its production, or you can play a game of oenology, attempting to recognize the year of four glasses of soft, round flavored sake .

After the brewery visit, it is time for relaxation! For the occasion, tables and booths with local specialties are installed in the courtyard of Ide Jozo Brewery. Sake flows freely under the banner of conviviality.

After tasting the sake of a different brewery, you can proceed the shop, and leave with the sake that appealed to you the most.
