A special exhibition taking place at the Yamanashi Prefectural Museum of Art looks at the works of Theo Jansen (1948 -), a Dutch artist who is renowned for his works made using PVC that are able to move on their own. Known as "strandbeests" (literally "beach animals" in Dutch), these unique creations were first made by Jansen back in 1990 and are powered by the wind.

The exhibition will display examples of these moving strandbeests, while exploring the connection that art has with both nature and science.

Adult admission to the event is priced at 840 yen, and advance reservations are required. Please visit the official event website to book your timeslot.
