Venue : Iwakura, Aichi, Japan When : Late Mar - Early Apr 2025
Japan's cherry blossom events generally rely on the Japan Meteorological Agency's forecasts. Since blossom dates are subject to change, please always check the venue's official site before you visit 🌸

From late March to early April each year, the banks of the Gojo River in Iwakura come alive with the color of 1400 cherry trees in bloom. An annual festival is held to celebrate their ethereal beauty, and it also typically includes evening illuminations (up until 9 pm), parades, crafts, and cultural performances.

Like all flower events, the official dates can be subject to change from year-to-year depending on blooming conditions. It's advisable to check the official event website before attending for a definite confirmation.

Admission to the festival is free of charge.

Getting there

The Iwakura Cherry Blossom Festival can be accessed within around 5 minutes on foot from Iwakura Station, which is served by the Meitetsu Inuyama Line.

For those planning to drive there is parking available on site, but it does tend to fill up quickly during sakura season. As a result, public transport is highly recommended whenever possible.
