If you're looking for a beautiful way to appreciate cherry blossoms after dark this year, look no further than the first ever event between digital art collective NAKED and Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden.
The popular Tokyo garden is home to an incredible 900 cherry trees covering 70 varieties, and this event will allow visitors to enjoy real sakura blossoms plus projection mapping versions of them.
This is a paid event, with ticket prices differing from Monday through Thursday and from Friday through Sunday. A slight discount is also available for advance purchase tickets which will go on sale from Tuesday March 7th. More information about ticketing can be found on the official event website.
Getting there
Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden (Shinjuku gate) is located five minutes on foot from either Shinjuku-sanchome Station (Fukutoshin subway line, take exit E5), or Shinjuku-gyoemmae Station (Marunouchi Subway Line, take exit 1).
Please note that entrance for this event is only through the park's Shinjuku Gate.
