Fukui Prefectural Green Center

Mammoth park in the midst of untouched nature

Located thirty minutes drive from the center of Fukui City, Fukui Prefectural Green Center in Maruoka Town is a mammoth park where people can play around and relax in untainted nature. The center is mainly divided into two areas, one is Green Park, and the other is the Botanical Gardens. On the first day of Golden Week Holidays, I visited here for the first time and was overwhelmed by its scale. In the center of the park there is a HUGE green lawn, which people were enjoying in various ways, some playing with balls, others taking a stroll, or a naps, etc. A variety of facilities are set for kids and they were in seventh heaven. This is a great place to take your children, and dogs too!
