Nishiyama Park in Sabae City, Fukui, is famous for many things...cherry blossoms in spring, 50,000 azaleas in May, fresh green in summer, gorgeous autumn leaves in November and beautiful snow in winter. Because of its hilly location, the park is also known as a great spot to enjoy a beautiful sunset. Various festivals are held in each season, and on these occasions the park is illuminated at night. These images were all taken on one day in May, when the azalea festival was being held. At sunset the sky was colored in orange hue, then it turned into magical deep blue. To top it all off I could see Jupiter in the twilight sky shining brilliantly. What a perfect night!
