About fifteen minutes' walk from Marugame station, the town's castle is imposingly situated on a hilltop overlooking the region, with high stone walls that look ready to withstand any assault. The building itself is quite small, but the hill commands a fine view of the town, the Inland Sea and the surrounding countryside, and inside the keep there's a display of historical objects such as armour, hanging scrolls and theatrical masks.
