A beautiful place of worship in Yokohama Chinatown

Masobyo Mausoleum in Yokohama's Chinatown is relatively new. It was established in 2006, and enshrines a Chinese goddess for the protection of travelers. Needless to say, scores of tourists visit, praying for a safe journey.

When I visit a place, I am always on the lookout for little details that are perhaps not so obvious to the eye. I found quite a few delightful ones here! At the base of the temple, just to the right of the stairs, a short iron fence surrounds a column that features carvings of 12 animals from the Chinese Zodiac years: rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, sheep, monkey, rooster, dog and pig. How beautiful!

I also found some gorgeous dragons!
