Asaba-ya is a Japanese restaurant along the street to Hase Kannon. It is opposite an old but attractive inn, Taisen-kaku. They specialize in unagi (grilled eel), but also serve some other Japanese dishes such as tempura and fish.
If you are the type of a person who thinks “When in Rome do as the Romans do,” please try grilled eel and Japanese sake! It could be a great experience for you here in Japan. There are many cute little decorations in the shop: doll furniture, food knick-knack, hanging ornaments, and so on.
