In the Yadoriki area of Matsuda town, witness a huge field of over 20,000 wintersweet plants. The festival runs from mid-January to mid-February and is the perfect place to immerse yourself in the unique sights and lovely scents of the yellow flowers. The festival may be canceled on snowy days, so please check in advance.
In addition to the winter blooms, the festival also features several food and local craft stalls on Saturdays and Sundays. Opening hours per establishment may vary.
On Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays from 11:00-15:00, you can visit the nearby dyeing experience center where you can dye handkerchiefs, bandanas, and more for 1,000 yen.
