Todaiji illumination from a distance

I went to Nara Tokae in 2012, an annual event held in summer. The event gives you the rare chance to see Todaiji temple at night, beautifully illuminated. The main attraction are 20,000 lit-up candles, which create a mystic atmosphere that cannot be experienced during the daytime.
