Running for almost a decade now, the Gosen Knit Fes celebrates this woolly art form in various ways. The entire town takes part in the event which includes open knitting factory tours, a craft market with a focus on knitted goods, a knitwear fashion show, and fun stage performances. In addition, attendees can take part in some hands-on crafting events (nominal participation fees apply).
If you do plan on attending, please note that some of the factory tours and hands-on classes need advance reservations – more information about the requirements can be found on the official event website.
Getting there
Gosen Station is served by the JR Ban'etsu West Line. On the event dates, a free shuttle bus service will operate from Gosen Station to two of the event venues – LOOP & LOOP and Laporte Gosen. Route and timetable information can be found on the official site.
