A special exhibition taking place at the Oita City Museum of Art looks at works from Kumamoto-born Tatsuya Tanaka, a photographer who focuses on miniatures. His creations are humorous and thought-provoking, and he often uses everyday items in unique ways - for instance, broccoli and parsley are used to simulate trees. The miniature scenes that Tanaka photographs have gained him quite the following - in fact, his Instagram account (@tanaka_tatsuya) has almost 3 million followers.
The special exhibition will showcase around 120 of Tanaka's works, including pieces from the new "Stay Safe" series. Best of all, the works are all able to be freely photographed by the exhibition attendees.
Admission for this leg of the event has yet to be determined - it should be announced on the official museum website closer to the date.
