When Oct 30th - Nov 29th 2020, 10:00am - 7:00pm

This year marks the 110th anniversary since the birth of the painter Ujiyama Teppei (1910 - 1986), who was born in Hita City in Oita Prefecture. A special event at the Oita Prefectural Art Museum (OPAM) looks at a variety of works that were completed throughout Ujiyama's life, which drew inspiration from things like the nature in the surrounding area and the geometric configuration of the mandala to name just a couple.

Adult admission to the exhibition is priced at 800 yen.

Getting there

The Oita Prefectural Museum of Art is located a 15 minute walk (or five minutes by taxi) from the JR Oita Station, served by the Nippo Main Line, the Kyudai Main Line, and the Hohi Main Line.

For those who plan to drive to the museum, it's located around a 10 minute drive from the Oita Interchange of the Oita Expressway. There are both outdoor and undercover parking lots available on-site. Between the two lots, there is the capacity for 250 vehicles.
