The Okinawa Zoo & Museum Christmas Fantasy event has been running for over 25 years now, and it is one of the largest illumination events in the prefecture. Along with an array of dazzling light and laser beam displays, the event includes appearances from Santa Claus, stage performances showcasing Eisa dancing (a traditional Okinawan folk dance), and even bingo competitions.
