Japanese strawberries are known for their balanced sweetness, bright flavor, and consistent quality, thanks to careful cultivation and the use of clean, temperature-controlled growing environments. For many visitors, trying these strawberries during winter feels can be a memorable experience, especially as hotels and cafés begin highlighting seasonal berry desserts.

In Osaka, Hotel Keihan Kyobashi Grande is offering a dedicated way to enjoy them through its Strawberry Garden Picnic "Strawberry Sweets Buffet." The event will run on weekends and public holidays from January 10th to April 29th, 2026, at Restaurant Lorraine on the hotel's 7th floor. It brings together around twenty strawberry-based desserts that showcase the fruit in different styles.

Guests can expect a large strawberry cake topped with strawberry-shaped mousse, a chiffon cake layered with strawberry cream, fresh strawberry milk made with jam and puree, and a range of classics such as tiramisu, panna cotta, jelly, tarts, and roll cakes. Several varieties of fresh strawberries are also available for tasting, delivered directly from BEAMS BRIGHT, the hotel's partner farm in Shiga Prefecture. As a welcome sweet, visitors receive a serving of extra-large strawberries from the same source.

The buffet also includes hot dishes, cold dishes, and breads, along with complimentary coffee, tea, herbal tea and soft drinks, making it easy to balance the sweeter items with something savory.
