Kunenan, the garden and villa of a Meiji-era businessman, is a must-see sight during the nine days it is open every November. However, with thousands of visitors waiting for their turn to tour the tiny property, a trip here can drag into hours. While you wait for your entry time, there is plenty of beautiful scenery to witness, from hilltop Niiyama Shrine to the peaceful Jizo temple (Jizo-in) to hundreds more maple trees, all at their autumn best.
