The first ever "Brightness Nagatoro Project" will be held four nights in December 2020. 'Brightness Nagatoro' is a night illumination event. The Nagatoro Station and the Iwadatami, Japan’s first Scenic National Monument, will be lit up over two weekends. You can see the Iwadatami like never before. Lighting and projection mapping will be used to create an artistic illumination.
The first weekend it is on Friday December 11th and Saturday December 12th from 17:00 to 21:00. And the following week the illumination will be on again on Friday December 18th and Saturday December 19th at the same time.
Getting there
By public transport: The area of the illumination is around the Nagatoro station which is on the Chichibu Tetsudo line. From the station you can walk down to the Iwadatami.
By car: The nearest expressway is the Kanetsu. Alight at the Hanazono Interchange and take the Minano Yorii bypass to the Minano Nagatoro Interchange. The station is a few minutes drive from the interchange. It is well sign posted.
