"Forest and Lake" is a common theme in Metsa Village's events in the Finnish theme park in Hanno. The village is located beside a lake with a lush forest on the Northside. Metsa Village affords the opportunity to combine nature with shopping and eating. The Forest and Lake market, or marche as they call it, brings color and fun to the park for a weekend of outdoor leisure.
The Forest and Lake Marche will be held in Metsa Village on Saturday December 19th and Sunday the 20th. Apart from shopping and food, visitors can also try their hand at Finnish sports. On Saturday they will have a Nordic walking event and on Sunday there is a "Mölkky" event. Participants can get their parking validated. The Metsa Village Christmas events will also be running that weekend.
Getting there
By car: The nearest expressway exit is the Sayama Hidaka Interchange of the Ken-o expressway. It is about ten minutes from the interchange to the park's car park. Parking is free on weekdays, but is charged on weekends. However, as mentioned above, participants in the Nordic sporting events can get their parking validated.
By public transport: You can get a bus from Seibu Ikebukuro line's Hanno station. On foot it takes about an hour from that station.
