Escape to Hamamatsu

Good place to rest from a big city!

I’m a citizen of a big city, so very often I feel that I need to escape. My dream was to watch the sunrise in Japan as it’s the first to see on Earth. I chose the city of Hamamatsu in Shizuoka Prefecture for my escape as it sits along the Pacific Ocean.  I ended up going to Bentenjima, a small place specializing in fisheries. I woke up at 5:00am and went to the coast to catch the sunrise. My way was through the inclined lines of pines and I found that amusing. The coast was almost deserted, I met just a few fisherman. And there it was, the sun came up!

On the next day I went to Hamamatsu Flower Park (by a bus to Kanzanji onsen) and spent a great sunny day among flowers and very kind and happy Japanese people.
