Newly launched at Akasaka Intercity Air, Bistro Buzz combines the finesse and pizazz of French cooking techniques with the quality of Japanese, seasonal ingredients – served up in a classic French bistro interior in the heart of central Tokyo.

Iwate-born Chef Kei Imura's menu offers an exciting line-up of à la minute-prepared French dishes tailored to Japan's rich ingredients, across an inspiring menu of a la carte options, as well as a hard-to-beat Préfixe course.

Standout mains include the Beef Wellington-homage, Baked Pie-wrapped Lobster and Scallop, as well as the Roasted Back Bone of Lamb, served with seasonal vegetables.

The dinnertime Préfixe option (¥4,800) allows you to choose from a grand line-up of entrées, mains and desserts, followed by coffee/tea. The starter menu includes a wide range of offerings, such as Foie Gras teppanyaki, Paté de campagne, assorted charcuterie cuts and endive, fig, ham and parmesan salad.

Supporting the lobster/scallop and lamb, guests can expect to tuck into Japanese beef in red wine, roast Matsusaka pork, Iwate Okunoto chicken confit and Kumamoto beef with foie gras teppanyaki – all French-based dishes using some of Japan's finest regional meats, and backed by a French-inspired wine menu.

We found Bistro Buzz delivered something unique and memorable – rather than try to solely emulate French cooking and disappoint, Buzz embraces its Japanese roots, taking advantages of the nation's quality flavours and integrating them into an all-new experience.
