With the rise in popularity of craft beer, more and more breweries have been emerging over recent years – and in Tokyo, many of these are located in close proximity to the JR Chuo Line. The Chuo Line Beer Festival celebrates the beer culture along its route, with fifteen breweries showing off their products at a multi-day event this summer.
Some of the breweries participating in the event include 10Ants Brewing (Tachikawa), Isana Brewing (Akishima), Beer Kobo (Asagaya), and Fat Barley Brewing (Fussa). The full list can be found on the official event website.
Admission to the event itself is free, with each cup of beer charged at ¥ 650.
Getting there
The venue is located just a minute on foot from Musashisakai Station's south exit, which is served by the JR Chuo Line and the Seibu Tamagawa Line.
