The Edo-Tokyo Museum is a fantastic building which houses life-size replicas of buildings, machines and other historical pieces from the Edo period of history, through the Meiji era and up to modern times. You can see how people lived back then, including the way the houses and castles were built. There are also tools and various daily utensils used throughout history, some replicas and some real ones as well. Step back in time and enjoy the deep and rich cultural history of Japan for one day and you will be amazed at the speed of progress and improved quality of life. This museum is great for couples and for families and it's fun for everyone!
