Festival Treats

Traditional Japanese takeaway food

Elena Lisina   - 1 min read

I used to visit Japan in Spring and catch “hanami” festivals. In many places in Tokyo like Ueno Park or Asakusa, there were dozens of colorful stalls cooking and selling all kinds of popular and traditional Japanese dishes. Of course, I couldn’t pass up those treats and to be honest, I liked all of them! I also enjoyed watching the process of cooking starting from the ingredients. Besides festivals you can find the usual takeaway treats like taiyaki, ice cream, and crepes. Whatever I tried in Japan tasted great!
