Tokyo is home to a number of different illumination events as the colder months arrive, and one which is easy to access is the Hibiya Magic Time Illumination. The illuminations take place around the Tokyo Midtown Hibiya complex and incorporate a color gradient approach, with shimmering Christmas trees, staircases, and plenty more providing a festive atmosphere.
If you're looking for a way to enjoy some seasonal color, be sure to stop by – the event runs up until December 26th.
Getting there
The illuminations will be on display at various locations around Tokyo Midtown Hibiya, which is directly connected to Hibiya Station (Tokyo Metro Chiyoda Line and Hibiya Line, and the Toei Subway Mita Line).
For those who drive, on-site parking is available and is charged at a rate of 300 yen per 30 minute increment. Purchases at the complex can be put towards parking validation - more details on that can be found on the Tokyo Midtown Hibiya website.
