With a history of almost 1300 years, Tokyo's Kanda Myojin Shrine is a fascinating destination for any traveler to the city. Along with the history, the shrine grounds are blessed with some beautiful nature, too, with numerous ginkgo and zelkova trees providing some incredible color during the autumn season.
To celebrate the shrine's seasonal beauty, an autumn leaves light up is set to be held in collaboration with the digital art collective NAKED. The event will run from 17:30 to 20:00 each day during the scheduled period, and is free for visitors to enjoy.
If you're looking for a fun and budget-friendly way to appreciate the best of the changing leaves, be sure to stop by if you're in Tokyo during the event timeframe.
Getting there
Kanda Myojin is located an easy four minutes on foot from Suehirocho Station, which is served by the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line.
