The color purple is often reminiscent of early summer in Japan thanks to the floral beauty of irises and hydrangeas, and for a limited time the Grand Nikko Tokyo Daiba will be hosting a Purple Afternoon Tea event. The event will feature a range of purple-hued foods to enjoy, including items like a blueberry and cream cheese marbled mousse, lavender jelly, fig and prosciutto open sandwiches, and purple potato scones.
The price for the afternoon tea is ¥ 5,000 per head (inclusive of tax), and reservations can be made by visiting the official hotel website here.
Getting there
The Grand Nikko Tokyo Daiba is located just a minute on foot from Daiba Station, which is served by the Yurikamome Line.
For those who opt to drive, on-site parking is available. Guests who spend a minimum of ¥ 3,000 at any of the hotel's restaurants, cafes, or bars receive two hours free parking.
