Despite everything Yasukuni Jinja stands for, it's a trip I had been wanting to take for some years. And joy of joys, my timing was perfect! It was a beautiful and sunny day and the sakura were fully bloomed. It was quite the sight. I had no idea Yasukuni Jinja was this gorgeous! From the sakura to the koi pond to the groom and bride being photographed under the blossoms (how romantic), this was without a doubt one of the most beautiful places I've been to (but then again everything seems beautiful to me in Japan)! A pity, though, that it was crowded.
