Public baths are an integral part of Japanese culture, and an upcoming event in Tokyo allows people to enjoy a public bath experience at a somewhat surprising locale.
Held with the support of the Tokyo Public Bath Association, the Toshima Ward Public Bath Association, and the Bathclin Public Bath Club, the Sunshine no Yu event at Sunshine City provides an opportunity for people to soak their feet and learn about public baths in Toshima Ward and other areas of Tokyo.
Along with the relaxing foot baths, the event will also include rakugo (traditional Japanese comedy) performances for visitors to enjoy on February 4th (13:00 / 15:00).
Getting there
Sunshine City has direct connectivity via an underground walkway from Higashi Ikebukuro Station, which is served by the Tokyo Metro's Yurakucho Line. The event takes place at Fountain Square within the mall.
For those who opt to drive, parking is available at the venue.
