The Edo-Tokyo Museum does not compromise when it comes to scale. The massive atrium of the main entrance presents a full-size replica of Edo's Nihonbashi, the bridge leading to the great city.

There are also incredibly detailed replicas of houses, theatres and shrines, as well as exquisitely crafted dioramas that capture the intensity and beauty of Edo life in action: fishermen in their boats, actors performing, and families gathering for evening meals.

The audio guides are also a must-have, and are available from the front desk.
