Zao is Snow Monster Paradise

Pretty welcoming creatures, once they know you can ski!

Coming from Austria it feels natural to ski and is part of my life. Japan has quite a few good ski places. One I like a lot is Zao. Located in the north, on the border between Yamagata Prefecture and Miyagi Prefecture, it's famous for its snow monsters, who appear in winter of course. Snow monsters are pretty welcoming creatures, once they know you can ski. I am just kidding!
