Japan is known for its amazing public transport network, but it's not the only way of getting from A to B on your travel adventures. Exploring by road via camper van is growing in popularity, and the Japan Camper Show at Makuhari Messe shines a light on this mode of transport + accommodation.
The event is set to include around 350 different camper van models on display, information about RV parks in Japan, and more.
Please note that this is a ticketed event, and tickets can be arranged online here. Admission is priced at 1500 JPY for adults and 750 JPY for children.
Getting there
Makuhari Messe is located approximately 5 minutes on foot from Kaihimmakuhari Station, which is served by the JR Keiyō Line.
For those who opt to drive, the venue is around 40 minutes from the central Tokyo area. Paid parking is available – it's charged at a rate of 1000 JPY per day for standard-sized vehicles.
