It is crazy I was able to successfully craft my own version of the sushi seen in the photos, with some help, of course.
I attended a Chiba-Wisconsin sister state program event in Chiba City where we got to make futomaki-zushi (thick sushi roll), which is often made for festivals. A few very skilled Japanese women demonstrated and helped a group of us make rose and plum blossom-shaped sushi! It was super fun and the sushi ended up being delicious.
