Fukuoka Castle Night Market brings a dose of summer magic to Maizuru Park each year in early August, transforming the historic Fukuoka Castle ruins into a lively evening festival space. Set against a backdrop of lanterns and stone walls, this event blends local food, music, and traditional culture into a laid-back celebration suitable for all ages.
Visitors can expect a mix of food stalls, stage performances, DJ booths, and even street acts like magicians and parkour artists. One of the highlights is the Bon Odori, held around mid-August, where visitors can join in traditional Japanese summer dancing. Guests wearing yukata receive special discounts at food stalls, and quick dressing services are available on site. Additionally, a mobile photo studio offers instant Polaroid snapshots as a take-home memory.

With shaded areas, free water stations, and a relaxed pace, the market is designed to be both fun and comfortable during the hot summer evenings. Entry is free, and updates are posted regularly on the official Instagram account: @fukuokajo_nightmarket.
