Denmark Design 2020

A special exhibition at the Kobe Fashion Museum

Venue : Kobe Fashion Museum When : Sep 19th - Nov 8th 2020, 10:00am - 6:00pm

An exhibition titled "Denmark Design" is taking place at the Kobe Fashion Museum until November 8th, and it showcases around 200 unique items from this region of the world. Porcelain pieces from Royal Copenhagen and furniture from the so-called "golden era" of Danish design (from the 1930's to the 1970's) are just a few examples of what will be displayed.

Much of the acclaim about Danish design comes from the fact that when many other European nations were modernizing their design industries, Denmark still placed an emphasis on handicrafts and individual, artisan production. The definition of quality over quantity!

Adult admission to the exhibition is 1000 yen.

Getting there

The Kobe Fashion Museum is located approximately 10 minutes drive from the Maya or Uozaki exits of the Hanshin Expressway. Paid parking is available at the Kobe Fashion Plaza parking lot, located on the basement floor of the museum.

For those visiting via public transport, the venue is a minute on foot from the Island Center Station, served by the Rokko Island Line.
