Handmade items often carry a sense of craftsmanship and attention to detail that mass-produced goods may lack, plus they possess a personal touch by fostering a connection between the creator and the consumer. If you're a fan of shopping handmade, the Kobe Handmade Marche is a great event to check out.
The event is Hyogo Prefecture's largest handmade market, and is set to include around 1000 booths selling a wide variety of handmade items, from crafts to food. In addition, there will be 17 types of handmade experience classes for attendees to take part in.
This is a paid event, with on-the-day admission priced at ¥700 (advance tickets are a slightly discounted fee of ¥600). Admission is free for elementary school aged students and younger.
Getting there
The event takes place at the Kobe International Exhibition Hall No. 3, which can be accessed in just a minute on foot from Shiminhiroba Station (served by the Port Island Line).
