Running for almost 60 years now, the Sakaide Ohashi Festival is a multi-day summertime affair which boasts parades, dance performances, taikodai (taiko drum float) competitions, and a fireworks display to cap everything off with.

- August 2nd (Friday): 16:30–20:30 – food booths and stage events, outside JR Sakaide Station
- August 3rd (Saturday): 16:00–21:00 –
- 'Doyou-day' – 6pm–9pm (Sakaide Shopping Street)
- Great Seto Bridge Parade — 4pm–4:40pm (from Sakaide Civic Hall to JR Sakaide Station)
- Dance performances (from Sakaide Civic Hall to JR Sakaide Station)
- August 4th (Sunday): 18:00–20:30 – taikodai competition, in front of JR Sakaide Station
- August 11th (Sunday): 20:00–20:30 – fireworks display, Sakaide Port Central Wharf
Getting there
The festival takes place at several locations around the Sakaide Station area and at Sakaide Port Central Wharf. The station is served by the JR Yosan Line.
