If you live at Comfort Tama Plaza, a sharehouse catering to those looking for long term accommodation, it is only a 5 minute walk to Tama-Plaza Station, and the Tama-Plaza Terrace, where there are heaps of clothing stores, cafes, restaurants around the area. It takes only 20 minutes to get to Shibuya from the station, but if what you're looking for is just a quick relaxing afternoon eating and shopping, the area provides more than enough amenities worth spending an afternoon on.

For those looking to satisfy their hunger, the numerous cafes/restaurants here will ensure that you would be spoiled for choice. For starters, there is the inexpensive option that is the Terrace Kitchen food court, which opens everyday at 11 am, and offers a mix of cuisine such as udon, ramen, and western favourites such as Kentucky Fried Chicken, Mister Donut and even Baskin' Robbins for those who want to indulge their sweet tooth. There is a Starbucks available for those in need of their caffeine kick, and two Lawson convenience stores for those who need to grab a quick snack. If you are looking to buy groceries, look no further than the Tokyu Plaza Food Terrace, which sell a wide range of groceries to satisfy both Japanese and Western palettes, or the 7-Eleven Holdings supermarket-cum-departmental store, located at the north exit from the station.

The area around Tama-Plaza Terrace houses more than enough shops if you need to satisfy the shopaholic in you. International clothing brands such as GAP and Muji are available at the area, and the Tokyu plaza at the north exit houses international designer brands for those looking to find quality, upscale clothing. There is even the Aoyama Flower Market, which has different types of flowers on sale and even puts together a myriad of bouquets to suit any lifestyles.

Living in Comfort Tama Plaza certainly has its perks, and the Tama-Plaza Terrace is certainly one of the biggest ones. Many amenities are available to suit the needs of different customers, and it is conveniently located within the train station. Definitely a place to keep in mind should one need a place to eat and shop in Yokohama.
