Frühlingsfest 2016 in Yokohama

An annual German spring affair

If there's one thing that can make spring in Tokyo even better, it's its annual German Spring Festival in Yokohama – Frühlingsfest.

Frühlingsfest usually lasts for about a week in conjunction with Golden Week. I went on one of the last days of Golden Week and the energy was amazing. The live German band was playing on stage, the music was loud and the people were dancing and singing along. It was such a beautiful sunny day and the whole evening was just filled with good vibes.

What a day for you and your friends to head down to Akarenga Sōkō, also known as the Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse, to indulge in some German beer (or wine, whichever floats your boat) and to have a really good go at those German sausages and crispy roast pork!
