Hayama Morito Beach in Summer

Cozy, easy accessible retreat

Hayama is a small town on the Miura Peninsula, Kanagawa. And it is a real retreat for both beach and mountain lovers. You can access Hayama by a 1-hour drive from central Tokyo. If you don’t drive, take the Yokosuka Line and get off at Zushi Station. Among the beaches in Hayama, Morito Beach is one that is very cozy and easy accessible. It takes about 15 minutes by bus from Zushi station (Morito Kaigan Bus Stop or Morito Jinja is the nearest stop) and a few seconds on foot.

During the summertime (July and August), there are many nice beach houses. Oasis is a 'live house' featured in this video.
