The Enjoyable Enoden Line

Running beside Sagami Bay & Enoshima

The Enoden Line, established in 1900, is a unique tram connecting Kamakura, Enoshima and Fujisawa. It runs on a single-track, and we must often wait for the tram coming from the opposite direction to pass. It goes very close to the sea along Sagami Bay, especially between Koshigoe and Inamura-ga-saki Stations. When you head toward Fujisawa and sit on the left side seats, you will enjoy the sea and Enoshima out the window. It also runs between residential districts in some parts of the line. You might be surprised to see houses just in front of your nose.
