Konashidaira Camping Site, only a 5-minute-walk from Kappa-bashi Bridge, sits on a calm flat land surrounded by crabapples and pine trees. From the nearby picnic tables along the Azusa River, we enjoyed the view of the sheer bare mountain surface and racing clouds covering the mountain head. If you make a reservation, the site will prepare BBQ for you (only May to September). The campground is open from mid April to early November. Restrooms, public bath (12PM-7PM), and a small shop are also next to the site.
Visitors who bring their own tent can stay overnight for 2,000 yen per night for adults, 1,000 yen per night for elementary school students, and free of charge for preschool children. Overnight camping is available from 7:00 AM on the day of arrival until 1:00 PM the following day. For day-trip use, the fee is 1,000 yen per person, with access available from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Reception hours are from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
For reservation and current rates, check the official website and contact the organizer.
