The Mifuneyama Garden, or Mifuneyama Rakuen, located just outside Takeo Onsen in Saga Prefecture, hosts an annual autumn light-up event to highlight the area’s foliage.
The event, which generally takes place in the middle two weeks of November, sees the illumination of the garden’s maple trees, one of which dates back nearly a century. The light-up begins at 17:30, while visitors can also visit the garden during the daylight hours, or purchase a ticket for both time slots.
The garden is also famous for its impressive azalea display in late April.
