Looking for some new material to read and unsure of what you want? It’s all here at Aoyama Book Centre in Roppongi Hills, located conveniently right next to Roppongi Station (Exit 3).

This two-level book store has a great atmosphere, not to mention the fabulous finds you can pick up from the wide range of literature available.

Aoyama Book Centre covers topics such as Art Culture, Photography, Design, Computer, Literature, Travel, Food, Fashion, Interior, Comics, Autobiography, DIY, Fiction, Business, Language, Japanese Literature and Sports. Each area also has multiple sub-sections: if you're looking for design-based books you will find Graphic Design, Interior Design and so on). I found this extremely helpful as the book store is fairly large, though signs are fortunately written in both Japanese and English.

Located nearby to several cafés, the whole area has a great atmosphere and beautiful scenery. Grab a yourself a book and coffee and feed yourself with words.

Aoyama also stock a variety of English-language books from major authors such as Jane Austin and Steven King. They also stocks a large variety of stationary goods, including premium German fountain pens by Lamy which are not always easy to find.

I found the experience overwhelming at first as the store has such a vast number of books. However, after three hours of browsing, I was able to pick up some amazing titles not to mention meet a number of inspirational people, both Japanese and International.

If you're looking for some quite café reading, do try out Roppongi's Aoyama Book Centre and the surrounding area, you will not be disappointed.
