2018 event

The International Tokyo Toy Show 2018 that kicked off from June 7th to 10th provided a venue for families to spend an enjoyable time exploring a wide range of booths and spaces offering both entertainment, educational and fun-filled toys and experiences to both parents and kids alike.

In our one-on-one interview with Head Organizer Masakazu Kobayashi, he said in Japanese, “We hold this event every June. We want to provide a venue for our toys to be shown to the world. The target market for this year is not only children but the whole family."

The toy exhibition is held in the same venue annually with a different highlight each year giving visitors something new to look forward to.

"The theme varies every year and the theme highlight for this year is going global," Kobayashi said.

There are at least 197 exhibitors this year compared to previous participants of 153, with 51 foreign manufacturers in this year's exhibition providing a bigger and better option for the entire family to experience.
